About the Role
Join Maria Mallaband Care Group as a Registered Nurse and be empowered to deliver outstanding care every day. This role requires nursing home experience and offers the opportunity to work flexibly on a bank basis. You will play a vital role advocating for residents by planning daily activities, creating tailored care plans, and ensuring individual needs and choices are met with dignity and respect. Your leadership will support colleagues and promote a safe, compassionate environment for residents living with dementia and complex care needs.

Key responsibilities include medication administration and care planning, providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support, safeguarding, acting as Nurse in charge during shifts, team management and shift planning, infection prevention and control, liaising with General Practitioners and Multi-Disciplinary Teams, and upholding clinical governance standards.

Eltandia Hall specialises in nursing and dementia care for elderly residents as well as care for younger residents with physical disabilities. The home offers a varied daily activities programme to support residents’ mental and physical wellbeing through group and one-to-one activities, community events, and regular entertainment visits.

Experience
Nursing home experience is essential. Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is ideal but not mandatory; newly qualified nurses are welcome and supported.

Qualifications
- Nursing qualification recognised by the UK NMC
- Valid UK NMC PIN and registration to practice as Registered General Nurse (RGN), Learning & Disability Nurse (RNLD), or Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Knowledge and experience in medication administration, syringe driver use, catheterisation, blood sampling, PEG feeding, stoma care
- Good understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
