About the Role
Join Maria Mallaband Care Group as a Registered Nurse and be empowered to deliver outstanding care every day. You will play a vital role advocating for residents, planning daily activities, creating tailored care plans, and ensuring individualised needs and choices are met. Your leadership will promote dignity and safety, serve as a role model to colleagues, and provide purpose to those living with us. Key responsibilities include medication administration and care planning, providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support, maintaining safeguarding principles, acting as Nurse in charge during shifts, team management and shift planning, infection prevention and control, liaising with General Practitioners and Multi-Disciplinary Teams, and upholding clinical governance standards. Experience with nursing home care is desirable but not essential. The home specialises in nursing and dementia care for elderly residents as well as care for younger residents with physical disabilities, supported by a varied daily activities programme to promote mental and physical wellbeing.

Experience
Previous nursing experience is ideal but not essential. Nursing home experience is desirable. Syringe driver experience, catheterisation, blood sampling, PEG feeding, and stoma care skills are advantageous.

Qualifications
A nursing qualification recognised by the UK NMC is essential. You must hold a valid UK NMC PIN and registration to practice as a Registered General Nurse (RGN), Learning & Disability Nurse (RNLD), or Mental Health Nurse (RMN). A good understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards is required. The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks to ensure safe recruitment.
