About the Role
The Regulatory Compliance Team Manager is responsible for the smooth running of the data management system (IDOX) and line management of 3 Regulatory Compliance Officers who provide technical and administrative support to the wider service. Key responsibilities include managing the IDOX system and its integration with other council ICT systems, writing reports for statutory returns and freedom of information enquiries, implementing process improvements, delivering training and support to IDOX users, and managing a caseload alongside the team. This role supports both Kingston and Sutton councils within a shared Regulatory Services enforcement team covering Licensing, Environmental Health, and Trading Standards functions.
Kingston and Sutton councils offer a unique opportunity to work across two high performing London boroughs with flexible working arrangements and a commitment to innovation and service improvement. Both boroughs are actively engaged in major projects such as the London Cancer Hub and large-scale housing regeneration, alongside ambitious climate action plans.
Joining this role means contributing to a dynamic, collaborative environment that values creativity, ambition, and putting residents at the heart of service delivery.
Experience
Knowledge and experience of IDOX Uniform and MS Access reporting tools is essential. Experience working within Environmental Health, Trading Standards, or Licensing teams is desirable. Experience managing a team is beneficial but not essential, as support will be provided for those new to management.

You are self-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines with attention to detail, and demonstrate strong customer service skills.
