About the Role
Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Relationship Director to join the Real Estate & Housing Team within Commercial Banking Coverage. This role focuses on managing a defined portfolio of SME client relationships in the Real Estate sector across the Midlands and Northwest. You will deliver outstanding client experiences while identifying opportunities to grow income, balance sheet, and market share.

Key responsibilities include growing income and client numbers, managing risks, undertaking lending assessments, and developing client strategies leveraging product and support teams. You will build strong internal and external networks, act as the “go to” banker in your geographic area, and maintain a high profile with external influencers and the local business community.

The role supports hybrid working with flexibility and workplace adjustments available for colleagues with disabilities. You will work closely with Business Development, Product Partners, and others to develop new business opportunities while ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Experience
At least 3 years of proven experience in the Real Estate sector with specialist credit knowledge. Demonstrated success in building and maintaining positive client relationships, winning new clients, growing business, and delivering excellent client experiences.

Strong networking skills and a commitment to client service. Ability to manage a portfolio of SME clients, identify client needs, and develop effective strategies. Proactive, client-focused, and able to work collaboratively across teams. Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and adaptable to workplace adjustments.

Qualifications
Relevant professional qualifications and experience in commercial banking or real estate finance are desirable. A commitment to continuous learning and development aligned with Lloyds Banking Group’s values and goals.
