About the Role
As a Repairs Inspector, you’ll play a key role in delivering an effective, efficient, and resident-first repairs service focusing on quality, value for money, and getting things right first time. Acting as the eyes and ears on the ground, you’ll work closely with contractors, residents, and internal teams to ensure repairs are properly diagnosed, completed to a high standard, and meet all health and safety requirements.
You will manage day-to-day repairs, post-inspections, and more complex cases, providing expert advice and technical support across a wide range of property issues including damp and mould, planned maintenance, voids, and housing condition complaints.
Your focus will be on resolving issues quickly, fairly, and with minimal disruption to residents. You will manage your own diary, carry out regular inspections, hold contractors to account, and ensure residents are kept fully informed throughout.
Additionally, you will contribute to shaping future services by feeding into planned maintenance programmes, identifying trends, and supporting wider estate management work.
This is a varied and rewarding role requiring visibility in communities, flexibility to travel across your patch, and confidence to act decisively when issues arise. There are three positions available covering Northwest London, Northeast London, and South London.
