About the Role
The City of London Corporation’s Built Environment department delivers a range of construction, highways, and operational services, including street scene projects, highway maintenance, parking and traffic enforcement, and traffic management within the Square Mile.

We have three permanent full-time Representations and Appeals Officer vacancies within the Parking Ticket Office. The main purpose of this role is to process approximately 110,000 Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) issued annually, managing a total income of around £8 million. You will ensure all correspondence, payments, and unpaid debts are handled in accordance with relevant laws, City financial regulations, policies, and the principles of Comprehensive Performance Assessment.

Core duties include responding to basic challenges related to PCNs, handling letters and phone calls, assessing routine claims from motorists and hire companies nominating liable parties, and performing administrative tasks. You will also be expected to meet individual and team targets as set through the departmental appraisal system.

This role supports the City’s objectives for parking compliance, traffic management, health and safety, and maintaining a cleaner environment.

Experience
Experience working in a busy office environment is essential, preferably with exposure to handling difficult customers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage priorities effectively are required.
