The University of Roehampton is recruiting for the role of Research Services and
Ethics Officer to join our Research Office team. We are a dynamic team dedicated to fostering research excellence and upholding the highest standards of research ethics.
This role is ideal for someone who have previously worked in research administration-type roles or those who have an interest in increasing their knowledge and skill within different areas of research services. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to prioritise conflicting demands and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Coordinate the ethics review process, ensuring timely and thorough review by the Ethics Committee.
2. Act as the primary point of contact for ethical review queries from researchers, providing clear and responsive support.
3. Provide day-to-day administration of Roehampton’s Research Information System, PURE.
4. Provide administrative support to the Research Services team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agenda, and taking minutes.
5. Manage shared departmental inboxes by responding to queries, filing,
storing and flagging emails.
