About the Role
In Tower Hamlets, we are committed to building relationships and strengthening families by working with people in a compassionate and understanding way. We are ambitious for Tower Hamlets children and families and endeavor for every child and young person to be healthy, safe, and successful. Our Resettlement & Migration Team (RMT) supports over 3000 asylum seekers and refugees, including Ukrainian and Afghan refugees. The Housing Officer will provide wrap-around support to sanctuary seekers, helping to reduce homelessness and promote social cohesion. Key responsibilities include working with refugees in various accommodations, managing events and workshops, producing guidance documents, and assisting in sourcing sustainable housing options.

Experience
Ability to deliver homelessness prevention and housing option solutions tailored to diverse communities.

About you
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to negotiate housing solutions. Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Understanding of welfare benefits and basic numeracy for providing housing advice.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications required, but relevant experience in housing or social services is advantageous.
