About the Role
Hillingdon’s children’s homes are expanding, and we’re looking for passionate Residential Workers to help shape the future of our growing service. As a Residential Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting children and young people with complex needs, delivering high-quality care and stepping up for senior staff when required. You’ll lead shifts, contribute to care planning, promote wellbeing and safety, and help create a nurturing, stable home environment. You will work closely with families, schools, and professionals to support each young person's development, rights, and outcomes – all in accordance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Hillingdon Council’s high standards.

Requirements

Experience
Professional or voluntary experience working with children or adolescents is required.

About you
Compassionate and resilient individual committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people. Confident communicator and collaborative team player capable of leading shifts effectively. Understanding of safeguarding, child development, and relevant legislative frameworks. Flexibility to work a rota including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

Qualifications
Either hold or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
