About the Role
We are looking for a brilliant Resource Manager (Workflow Manager) to join us on a 6 months fixed-term contract, starting in September 2026. This is a key role at the heart of our business, sitting across strategy and technology. You will play a vital part in keeping projects flowing smoothly, from client work and internal initiatives to pitches and proposals, while making the best use of our talent and identifying where additional skills or capacity might be needed.
You will work closely with Project Managers and team leads to build a full picture of what’s happening across the business. By gathering information through our project management tool (Workbook), as well as through meetings, briefs, and timelines, you will help forecast resource needs, flag challenges, and suggest smart solutions.
As part of a tight-knit Workflow Team, you will ensure we are always set up to deliver exceptional work while supporting a culture where people feel happy, motivated, and set up to succeed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day trafficking of work across Strategy and Technology teams, including resolving clashes or project overruns
- Attending Pipeline and Qualification meetings to understand new opportunities, timelines, and deliverables
- Participating in monthly Commercial Reviews with Project Managers to push long-term planning agendas and share trends on team shape, over-burning, and capacity issues
- Continuously evaluating freelance support needs, building cases with evidence of project allocation and timings
- Sourcing freelancers as necessary using Workable, LinkedIn, and other tools, in collaboration with team leads
- Acting as first stage approver for all strategy and tech absence requests and flagging issues to line managers
- Running regular holiday reports to identify and resolve potential clashes and reduce the need for freelancers
Experience
- Proven experience as a Resource, Traffic, or Workflow Manager in an agency or fast-paced, client-facing environment
- Skilled at managing constant change and shifting priorities while remaining upbeat and solution-focused
- Experienced in sourcing freelance resources, ideally with an established network or 'Black Book'
About you
- Excellent communication skills with clarity, confidence, and professionalism in writing, in person, and on calls
- Calm and approachable under pressure, able to manage multiple requests and negotiate sensible solutions
- Strong problem solver who can interpret information quickly and present clear next-step options
- Confident using data and reports, with attention to detail in processing information from Workbook and proficiency in Excel
Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required, but a proactive attitude, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
