The Retail Sales Team are the face of The National Lottery to existing retailers, supporting them to increase returns to good causes by driving sales, retailer training, and ongoing management of the retail estate. As a Retail Growth Executive, you will own territory management, building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers in your assigned area. You will deliver retail revenue and marketing plans by supporting and growing in-store standards, advocating the commercial value of The National Lottery to drive sales and returns to good causes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing a strong understanding of your territory, retailers, and competitors to drive sales and returns to good causes
- Supporting the Annual Business Plan by delivering key messages and marketing updates to the retail network
- Supporting Retail Sales Team objectives and reviewing progress against agreed measures, working cross-territory and divisionally as required
- Bringing retail insight and new ways of working into Allwyn
- Delivering Retail Key Performance Indicators through ownership of territory management plans and preparing store visits
- Proactively driving high in-store standards and delivering key messages
- Building and maintaining great relationships to drive excellent in-store execution and retailer advocacy
- Ensuring retailers comply with necessary player protection through the Retail Training Centre (RTC)
- Driving your own development through a Personal Development plan and the Learning and Development programme
Experience
Previous sales or customer service experience is required; field sales experience is desirable but not essential. Experience in face-to-face consultative selling is important, along with the ability to analyse data and provide insights to customers.
About you
You bring new ideas to the table and possess strong sales and commercial acumen. You are confident and articulate when speaking to retailers and can build strong relationships through a consultative approach. You are flexible with IT packages and able to deliver effective training to people at all levels. You hold a full UK driving licence and have the flexibility to travel across your territory and wider regions as required.
