About the Role
40 million people wear spectacles in the UK alone, but the optical industry hasn’t changed enough in three centuries. Products are tired, standards are mediocre, and the experience is dull. Cubitts is on a mission to change that by building the world’s most customer-centric spectacles company.

The Retail Training Manager works as part of The Cubitts Academy and wider Cubitts People Team, reporting to The Senior People Manager. This role is responsible for the creation, updating, and delivery of retail pathways, ensuring that everyone across the store population receives industry-leading development to support their roles and progress, while supporting the wider business to achieve company goals and growth.

Adopting a blended learning approach, the Retail Training Manager will spend the majority of time in stores supporting induction, individual, and targeted training across Cubitts retail teams. Key responsibilities include training pathway design and updates, acting as a Learning Management System (LMS) superuser, delivering induction and onboarding, facilitating training delivery both 1-on-1 and in workshops, developing the in-store experience through coaching, managing compliance training and annual retraining, scheduling the Academy calendar, and supporting career progression and succession planning.

Through effective training and follow-up, this role ensures Cubitts Customer Non Negotiables are embedded within the Academy Curriculum and company culture, driving an exceptional in-store experience for customers.
