About the Role
Embedded in the front-office Responsible Investment (RI) team, this role works closely with the Head of RI Policy and Implementation to develop and monitor Man Group's RI reporting framework, maintain and improve RI processes, and oversee how RI concepts are incorporated into investment strategies. The role serves as a key point of contact for RI across the broader firm, escalating issues as appropriate, while enabling Man Group to grow its RI offerings and maintain critical controls around RI risks and opportunities.

Key responsibilities include providing RI expertise and oversight on the launch and conversion of RI funds and strategies, reviewing product construction, integrating RI frameworks and offering documents, and assisting in the oversight and implementation of Man's RI fund categorisation framework to ensure alignment with internal objectives and regulatory developments such as ESMA, SDR, and SFDR. The role also supports the development and maintenance of key RI policies including the Sustainable Investment Policy, Good Governance Policy, and PAI Policy, and ensures investment teams are trained on these frameworks and policies.

The analyst assists in managing Man's RI control environment across multiple workstreams, including the semi-annual principal adverse impact (PAI) assessment process and the annual structured review of RI funds involving investment team interviews and document reviews to verify ongoing commitment to sustainability objectives. They act as secretary to various RI governance committees and manage the investment override process for sustainability classifications, leading ESG research and maintaining audit trails.

In addition, the role involves curating Man's issuer RI exclusions list biannually, using external data and manual reviews, and presenting findings to the Exclusions Sub-Committee for approval. The analyst manages stakeholder relationships across investment teams, Compliance, and Sales to support ESG integration into products, communicates policies and frameworks to internal and external constituents, and contributes to ESG governance committees and ad hoc projects as priorities arise.

Requirements

About you
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential. You should be proactive, able to manage multiple workstreams, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are necessary.

Qualifications
Professional qualifications such as IMC, AIMA, ESG CFA, or equivalent are advantageous but not mandatory. A commitment to continuous learning and development in ESG and responsible investment is expected.
