About the Role
Amazon is seeking an experienced business-oriented Robotics Deployment Engineer to deliver large-scale and highly complex logistic process automation and storage initiatives for the continued expansion of our South Europe fulfilment network. You will oversee all aspects of an Amazon Warehouse (Fulfilment Centre, Inbound Cross-Dock, Sortation Centre or Distribution Centre) focusing on automation technologies and storage solutions. Your responsibilities include evaluating and delivering state-of-the-art material handling systems and robotic innovations, coordinating internal teams and external contractors to effectively launch new automated buildings and conduct expansions in existing sites. Key responsibilities include leading evaluation and delivery of large-scale automation technologies ensuring readiness for global scale, supporting conveyance, sortation and robotics systems deployments across multiple sites, coordinating cross-functional teams, providing guidance and troubleshooting complex automation deployments, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with product, safety, deployment, quality and vendor teams throughout the project lifecycle.
A typical day involves interacting with diverse functional teams across multiple time zones, conducting meetings with internal teams, stakeholders and vendors, liaising with subject matter experts, and continuously refining deployment processes. Experience
- Project management, delivery and/or program management experience
- Managing competing priorities across a wide range of stakeholders
- Authoring technical documentation such as detailed and user-focused Work Instructions or standard operating procedures (SOPs) for field execution
- English-language communication skills, both written and verbal

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent STEM field
- Knowledge of automation technologies, material handling systems and/or robotics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with robotic deployments in logistics, supply chain, warehouse or fulfilment operations environments
- Understanding of warehouse operations, linked systems and fulfilment processes
- Experience working with and managing external contractors and vendors
- Project management experience or certification
- Experience with Amazon Robotics or similar automation platforms
- Experience delivering training to contractors or third-party teams on-site, ensuring readiness and adherence to deployment standards
