About the Role
Amazon is seeking an experienced, business-oriented Robotics System Integration & Deployment Engineer II to lead first-time deployments of advanced automation technologies and develop comprehensive documentation that enables global rollouts across our fulfillment network. Join our Robotics Delivery and Packaging Innovation International team, where we transform complex automation technologies into efficiently deployable solutions on a global scale. You will take complete ownership of initial deployment execution, creating detailed project schedules, aligning cross-functional teams, vendors, and site teams, and transforming initial deployment complexity into standardized, streamlined procedures for downstream teams. This role involves working across multiple technologies, accelerating your learning through exposure to diverse stakeholders and technical environments. The position requires up to 50% travel across Europe during peak deployment seasons, with occasional international travel. Amazon's culture encourages an entrepreneurial approach and expects engineers to take high ownership in solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

- Align cross-functional teams, vendors, and site teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Transform deployment complexity into scalable solutions by creating and improving comprehensive documentation and deliverables that convert initial implementations into ready-to-scale procedures
- Evaluate and deliver large-scale automation technologies including conveyance, sortation, and robotics systems
- Collaborate with product, safety, deployment, quality, and vendor teams throughout the project lifecycle
A Day in the Life
You will take full ownership of first-time deployments, from crafting detailed project schedules to coordinating with site teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders. During deployment execution, you will be on-site leading all aspects of implementation through go-live. You will interact daily with diverse functional teams across multiple time zones, conducting regular meetings with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors. Building relationships with subject matter experts and analyzing the technologies we deploy will be part of your daily routine. No two days will be the same in this fast-paced environment, offering opportunities for professional growth as part of a collaborative, focused team.
