About the Role
Lewisham College, part of the NCG Group, is seeking a committed and experienced Safeguarding Officer to join our Learner Experience team. Based at our Lewisham site, you will work under the leadership of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Deputy DSL. This key role ensures the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of our students by managing safeguarding and child protection across the college. You will collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to support students identified as at risk of not achieving or leaving their course. Additionally, you will contribute to equality and diversity initiatives and support vulnerable learners to fully engage in college life. Experience
Proven experience in safeguarding and child protection within an educational or similar setting is essential.

You are committed to promoting student safety and wellbeing, with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies. You demonstrate a collaborative approach, respect for diversity, and a passion for supporting vulnerable learners.

Qualifications
Relevant safeguarding qualifications or training are required. Experience working within equality and diversity frameworks is desirable.
