About the Role
The Safety, Health and Environmental Technician Apprenticeship at Heathrow is a hybrid role involving both office and site work. You will provide advice on health, safety, and environmental requirements, working closely with management and delivery teams to ensure statutory and company SHE standards are met. Key responsibilities include developing and reviewing safe systems of work, delivering training such as toolbox talks and inductions, investigating and reporting workplace incidents, analysing data and presenting findings, undertaking site visits to construction sites to monitor safety standards, reviewing and approving risk assessments and method statements, enforcing health and safety requirements, identifying hazards and implementing solutions, planning emergency procedures, and adhering to environmental and safety laws including standards such as ISO 45001.
This role requires regular visits to active construction sites and travelling between locations. The apprenticeship offers a supportive environment with reasonable adjustments available to support individuals with disabilities. Requirements

Experience
No prior experience required. A proactive approach, accountability, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications
Minimum: English and Maths at GCSE Grade 3 / D or above, or Functional Skills Level 1 or above.

Additional Requirements
- Must be 18+ due to site health and safety rules
- Must have lived in England for the last 3 years and have the right to work status
- Not currently enrolled on any other courses

Training and College
K10 will enrol apprentices on the Level 3 Safety, Health & Environment Technician course and fund qualifications through an accredited training provider. The apprenticeship duration is 24 months.
