About the Role
Tower Hamlet’s vision is to enable young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to live, learn and work within their local community, achieving sustained progression and resulting in better life outcomes. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SEN Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) Team Manager to support this vision. The successful applicant will be passionate and driven, possessing extensive knowledge of legislation, statutory frameworks including the Code of Practice, and policy affecting services for young people post-14 and families in relation to SEND. As the PfA Team Manager, you will support the PfA Service Manager to deliver key priorities and work collaboratively with schools, post-16 Education and Training providers, and other key partners in and out of Tower Hamlets to ensure the best outcomes for young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Experience
Extensive knowledge of legislation and statutory frameworks related to SEND services for young people post-14.

Passionate and driven individual with a commitment to improving outcomes for young people with SEND. Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications and experience in managing services for young people with SEND are desirable.
