We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Strategy & Policy Officer to join our Corporate Strategy & Partnerships Service. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the development of strategy and policy to achieve the borough’s ambitions and managing high-impact strategic projects that improve the lives of residents.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a borough-wide movement for change, helping to shape how we work together, tackle inequality, and improve lives.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategies and plans in collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve the borough’s ambitions.
- Support delivery of strategic projects with council services and key partners aligned to shared priorities.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, helping partners and services deliver real change on the ground.
- Mobilise partnerships across sectors to develop shared solutions to complex challenges.
- Support innovation and learning by creating space for experimentation, sharing lessons, and scaling up successful initiatives.
- Champion equity and inclusion, ensuring work reflects the borough’s diversity and addresses systemic inequalities.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in strategy and policy development or managing strategic projects is desirable. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and partners is essential.

You are dynamic, collaborative, and committed to delivering positive change. You have strong communication and organisational skills, with a passion for tackling inequality and championing equity and inclusion. You are motivated to work in a diverse community and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in public policy, strategy, social sciences, or related fields are advantageous but not explicitly required. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is expected.
