About the Role
Nelson Primary School, part of the New Vision Trust, is a vibrant multicultural school committed to the academic, personal, social, and emotional development of all pupils. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. You will work alongside teaching staff to support the teaching and learning of children in this large and successful primary school. This is a fixed term contract until July 2026. The school provides an engaging and stimulating environment where inspiring teaching and enthusiastic learning are paramount. Nelson Primary School is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, medical questionnaire, and possibly a disqualification declaration questionnaire. Interviews will be held on 21st November 2025.

Experience
Experience working with children with SEND is essential. Previous experience in a primary school environment is desirable.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting children with SEND preferred. All appointments are subject to satisfactory DBS, qualification, and reference checks.
