About the Role
Ready to take your career global? Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Senior AI Workflow Engineer to join our ever-evolving Risk & Compliance team and help shape the future of global commerce. As a Senior AI Workflow Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and embedding AI-powered workflows within a business domain such as Risk & Compliance, Credit, Fraud, or Customer Operations.
Workflow Architecture (Design Authority)
Decompose complex processes into AI-first workflows. Design human–agent interaction models, decision logic, and escalation paths. Translate regulatory, operational, and risk requirements into build-ready specifications. Produce and maintain workflow artefacts including process maps, agent interaction models, and blueprints.
Agentic Engineering (End-to-End Delivery)
Build, test, and deploy production-grade AI workflows using approved orchestration platforms. Implement multi-agent coordination, tool integration, and context management. Integrate workflows into enterprise systems via APIs, MCP/A2A patterns, or equivalent. Ensure all solutions are observable, measurable, and production-ready with tracing, evaluation, and monitoring.
Adoption & Domain Transformation (Value Realisation)
Drive real adoption of AI workflows within the domain, not just deployment. Lead process discovery sessions and stakeholder alignment. Identify and mitigate adoption risks such as trust gaps, workarounds, and capability gaps. Deliver capability transfer and enable domain teams to operate AI-enabled workflows.
Risk, Control & Governance (Non-Negotiable)
Embed guardrails, auditability, and control logic into every workflow design. Own the domain’s contribution to AI Model & Risk Review including performance, drift, and exceptions. Ensure compliance with AI governance standards such as explainability, traceability, and escalation protocols. Proactively surface control gaps before formal gating.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Proven experience building AI-powered workflows in production environments. Hands-on expertise with agentic AI frameworks or orchestration platforms (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, MCP-based systems). Strong Python skills and experience with LLM integration, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, and context and memory management. Experience translating business processes into technical system designs. Experience driving technology adoption within a business domain.
Working knowledge of AI observability, model evaluation, guardrails and control design. Domain expertise in risk, fraud, AML, credit, compliance, or financial operations. Experience with enterprise integrations (APIs, MCP/A2A), knowledge graphs or vector-based retrieval systems, and regulatory AI frameworks (e.g., SR 11-7, EU AI Act). Experience contributing to shared AI platforms or reusable component libraries.
About you
Works under general supervision with increased latitude for independent judgment. Able to manage multiple concurrent projects of medium complexity. Provides regulatory compliance advice to line of business employees and Compliance Officers. Active team member who contributes to complex projects to gain experience, shares ideas, and suggests process improvements appropriate for level of experience. Consults with senior peers on complex processes to learn through experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
