As a Senior Architect, you will lead and deliver complex, high-value projects across multiple sectors. You will manage projects from concept through to completion, lead a small team, and develop junior talent within the studio. Your role will involve managing client relationships, running multiple projects, leading presentations, and contributing to winning new work and generating positive PR for the practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively within a large multi-disciplinary team while maintaining autonomy over your projects.
Experience
- Extensive experience across a variety of projects and sectors
- Strong design leadership across all RIBA stages including concept development, technical delivery, and site coordination
- Proven track record of delivering complex, high-value projects on time and within budget
- Professional experience in a high-quality, design and delivery focused practice
- Experience managing large-scale architectural projects as well as smaller or multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team, manage a small team, and work independently
- Excellent drawing and presentation skills with the ability to clearly explain design ideas and concept evolution
- Experience managing client relationships, including project briefing, fee management, presentations, and engagement
- Experience running multiple or complex projects from start to finish to client satisfaction, profitably and on time
- Experience contributing to winning new work and generating good PR for the practice
About You

- Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of sensitivities when communicating with and presenting to clients
- Ability to balance workload across multiple projects simultaneously
- Awareness of your impact on others within teams and business areas
Qualifications
- Educated to at least RIBA Part 3 level (or equivalent) with considerable post-qualification experience
- Experience leading projects valued between £5m and £20m
- Ability to manage the design process and development of construction projects
- Experience coordinating design teams and associated professional consultants
- Experience in refurbishment/retrofit projects, ideally including heritage buildings
- Working knowledge of Revit and Level 2 BIM experience
Desirable Skills
- Experience working on heritage and/or listed buildings
- Experience with schools, further or higher education, or healthcare projects
- Working knowledge and experience of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) solutions
