The Senior Auditor will support delivery of the annual audit plan in accordance with the Internal Audit Methodology, manage relationships with Internal Audit stakeholders, and participate in continuous improvement of audit outputs and processes. The role operates in line with CIIA guidelines and the Code of Ethics.

Key responsibilities include performing audit test procedures, identifying and delivering commercially sound audit issues and recommendations, reviewing and analysing audit evidence, and assessing the design and effectiveness of business processes. Under guidance from the Internal Audit Director and Managers, the Senior Auditor will act as a point of contact between Internal Audit and business stakeholders, providing risk and audit advice regarding procedures and controls.

The role also involves carrying out ad hoc analysis, investigations, and process risk assessments, and supporting management testing for SOx 404 attestations. The Senior Auditor will work closely within the audit team to provide support and develop technical expertise across risk and control processes.

Challenges include understanding organisational complexity, managing frequent and short-notice activities under time pressure, and maintaining strong working relationships while delivering difficult audit opinions.

Experience
Relevant degree or equivalent higher education qualification.
Recognised accountancy or closely related qualification (ACA, ACCA, IIA, etc.). Candidates actively studying towards a relevant professional qualification with meaningful progress will also be considered.
Financial services experience, ideally in Investment Management, although relevant experience in related financial services sectors will be considered.

Qualifications
