About the Role
The Senior Business Analyst will support the Downstream ERP Customer DV LSC team, focusing on Secondary Distribution for Lubes Supply Chain and Fuels Shipments. This role is responsible for delivering functional designs for projects and change requests in close collaboration with business stakeholders. Key responsibilities include leading functional design discussions, producing functional specifications, guiding application development, and supporting testing and solution acceptance. The role ensures timely delivery of high quality, fit-for-purpose IT solutions aligned with business requirements. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with the Senior Functional Delivery Lead and provide guidance and mentoring to team members.

You will drive clarification of complex and analytical requirements from a technical solution design perspective and deliver effort estimates for those solutions. You will leverage knowledge artifacts and senior stakeholder support to ensure appropriate solution delivery. You will create and modify functional specifications from a technical design perspective and develop design/solution development for reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms. Participation in blueprint and design sessions, reviewing options and providing recommendations while communicating benefits, risks, and constraints to both business and IT stakeholders is essential.

You will work closely with Design Leads and Application Delivery Leads to ensure new capabilities and business requirements are understood and implemented in new work items. You will assist in resolving production issues in meetings with the Support Organization and perform prototyping to support requirements definition or technical design questions. Writing test scripts, executing unit and integration testing, supporting regression testing, resolving defects/issues during test cycles and post project go-live support are part of the role. Additionally, you will create run books and participate in run book peer reviews, read and interpret data object definitions, and manage batch jobs leveraging scheduling and processing tools. You will prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple tasks meeting aligned timelines with optimal quality to maximize customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Experience
Extensive experience in Functional Configuration in SAP, with expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution, Logistics Execution, or SAP IS Oil Downstream.
- Strong track record and demonstrated experience in Functional Design and Delivery.
- SAP IS OIL Downstream knowledge and skills in:
  a. SAP Sales and Distribution – Skilled
  b. Basic ABAP debugging and understanding of code
  c. Transportation and Distribution (SAP IS-OIL TD) including Master Data and Transportation Planning – Skilled
  d. SAP Logistics Execution (SAP LE) Shipments – Skilled
  e. Shipment Costing – Skilled
  f. SAP Supply Chain (Purchase Orders, Stock Transfers, Inventory Management etc.) – Skilled
  g. Data interchange between SAP and third-party systems – Skilled
  h. Working on complex interfaces / RICEF – Skilled
  i. Contracts (Customer/Vendor/Quotes/Pricing) – Knowledgeable
- Skilled in requirements gathering and documenting from a technical solution perspective.
- Experience working on projects with IT/application and data components.
- Ability to plan and implement according to plan while coping with uncertainty and risk.
- Organized, methodical, with an eye for detail.
- Team player with experience working in virtual teams.
- Able to coach and mentor junior team members.
