This role offers the opportunity to join an ambitious procurement collaborative organisation supporting the development and implementation of strategic initiatives within the Commercial Delivery team. You will work alongside senior clinical and operational teams, as well as regional and national stakeholders, to drive innovation and collaboration primarily in the Digital space. The role includes leadership of a small team of Category Managers.

Key responsibilities include developing and leading strategic sourcing programmes across multiple NHS Trusts, delivering cost and efficiency savings, ensuring contract compliance, and managing supplier relationships. You will contribute to procurement excellence by implementing effective projects, supporting NHS LPP’s collaborative procurement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and national procurement policies.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust hosts NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP), which manages collaborative procurement projects for a wide range of NHS organisations and public sector bodies. This role requires managing complex procurements and delivering sustainable cost and service improvements primarily within the London NHS economy and beyond.

Requirements

Experience
- Significant senior procurement experience including Digital Health/Technology or other complex spend categories
- Proven stakeholder management and category management skills
- Extensive supplier engagement, contract negotiation, and contract management experience
- Track record of delivering substantial transformation and value for money
- Understanding of NHS and wider public procurement and commercial environments
- Senior specialist commercial/industry experience in procurement and supply in a senior management role

- Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and influence teams and stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills to manage multiple projects and workloads effectively
- Proactive, collaborative, and able to build and maintain strong working relationships across organisations
- Committed to continuous professional development and delivering procurement excellence

Qualifications
- Essential: Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent professional institute or relevant experience
- Continuous professional development (CPD) in procurement
- Procurement procedures and account management training
- Recognised advanced computer training courses
- Desirable: Masters degree or equivalent with senior specialist procurement knowledge
- Project Management qualification (Prince 2 Practitioner) preferred
