About the Role
As a Senior Colo Electrical Regional Engineer, you will lead Electrical Engineering services, construction, and implementation of enterprise data centers that meet quality and performance standards globally. You will collaborate directly with Design Engineering Stakeholders, Construction, Operations, and Commissioning teams both regionally and worldwide. Your role involves leading projects to fit out data centers to meet evolving customer needs as we expand our hyperscale fleet.
You will act as the engineering representative for the Data Center Colo Regional Engineering team, responsible for successful project delivery. This includes assisting in site selection, planning, and development of data centers, evaluating mechanical and electrical systems, and making data-driven decisions based on AWS guidelines.
Key responsibilities include working with Colo vendors to review new data center designs, acting as Resident Engineer during construction projects, supporting commissioning and handover, troubleshooting and conducting root cause analysis, providing technical support for upgrades, and leading engineering site audits with risk assessments and mitigation recommendations.
Each day you will engage with multiple teams responsible for all aspects of data center operations, prioritizing activities to support capacity availability and safety. You will have opportunities to work on projects locally and globally, driving innovation and operational excellence in hyperscale data center infrastructure.

Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
- Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance
- Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities
- Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities

Qualifications
- Professional Engineering or Architectural License preferred
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations relevant to your region
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
