About the Role
The Senior Consulting Actuary role focuses on supporting clients across a broad range of general insurance work, with responsibility for both winning and delivering projects. This includes capital modelling, reserving, pricing, risk management, and wider actuarial and strategic support for insurers and reinsurers. A key part of the role is building strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities, while delivering high quality work across varied assignments. You will manage multiple projects, combining technical expertise, commercial awareness, and leadership to support clients and contribute to the continued growth of the team.

Typical activities include delivering high quality actuarial support by analysing data, building models, and explaining results clearly; managing client work end to end including setting priorities, coordinating teams, reviewing outputs, and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met; acting as a key client contact by responding to queries, presenting findings, and building strong working relationships; reviewing and developing methodologies, assumptions, and models with clear recommendations; collaborating across teams to deliver wider solutions and share knowledge; and supporting business development through identifying opportunities, contributing to pitches, and producing thought leadership or marketing content.

Experience
- Nearly or newly qualified actuary with experience in the general insurance market
- Experience in capital, reserving, pricing, or a combination of these areas
- Proven ability to plan and deliver projects on time and within budget, balancing multiple priorities
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior colleagues
- Willingness to travel as required
