Expedia Group is looking for extraordinary talent to join the Customer Engagement Marketing Team to dive deep into the data needs, solutions, and outcomes for all things CRM and outbound. Everything we do is powered by data, from who we send to, when we send it, and what is sent. Getting the data right is a critical part of our operation.
If you enjoy connecting with data experts such as scientists, engineers, and marketers daily and turning data into powerful personalization, this is the role for you. You will work in a truly customer-focused organization and bring the depth of thinking to solve problems and drive incremental business value through direct communication channels like email marketing, push notifications, and in-product messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in discovery sessions with project teams to understand data requirements needed to support solution implementations.
- Work with marketing managers to document all data needs required for campaigns, programs, or communications.
- Collaborate daily with the transition lead to ensure all data elements for audience, content, and measurement are accounted for during platform transitions.
- Assist engineers and marketers in creating new content and audiences within the new platform.
- Support QA of all assets from build to launch and monitoring phases.
- Consult with data and performance teams on data requirements to measure communication performance from CRM metrics to revenue metrics.
- Work with data scientists creating new models to gather necessary data elements and connect models to the appropriate platform components.
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in CRM technology, specifically utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud to create automated and personalized customer journeys.
- Proficient with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Intelligence Reports, Einstein, and other Marketing Cloud features.
- Several years of experience with SQL, HTML, CSS, and Marketing Cloud scripting languages including AMPscript, GTL, and SSJS.
- Strong knowledge of data concepts such as relational data, data types, variables, and data transformation.
- Ability to conceptualize data flows, sources, and transformations to support marketing communications.
- Experience bridging communication between technical teams (software engineers) and non-technical teams (marketing managers).
- Proven ability to structure customer and business problems and solutions, driving execution of initiatives.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing requirements and intersecting projects.
- Proficient with productivity tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, and Jira.
- Experience with data security standards including PCI, PII data, and privacy regulations such as CCPA and GDPR.
- Technical experience with cloud and big data technologies.
- Demonstrated success building strong partnerships and relationships with clients and stakeholders across various roles and levels.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to simplify and communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Excellent relationship and facilitation skills within diverse engineering and global cross-functional teams.

Qualifications
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in CRM, marketing technology, data analytics, or related fields preferred but not mandatory.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications are a plus.
