About the Role
We are seeking a Senior DAQ Advisor to join the DAQ Variations Function within the Health Quality and Access group at the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). This role supports the operational management of the Data Assurance & Quality (DAQ) Unit, which processes over 100,000 regulatory application items annually. The Senior DAQ Advisor will use their specialist knowledge to mentor and train colleagues, support Delivery Leads, and ensure performance and quality standards are met in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. The role involves working closely with the Delivery Lead to meet service level and legislative targets, providing expertise on complex procedures such as variations, new Marketing Authorisation Applications (MAA), and eSubmission formats. The position requires confident interaction with professional colleagues and external applicants to ensure regulatory guidelines are followed and high-quality case folders are prepared for professional assessment.

Working Pattern
MHRA is implementing a flexible hybrid working model with a minimum of 8 days per month on site, which may flex up to 12 days depending on business needs. Remote working may be available for specific roles subject to discussion with the recruiting manager.

Requirements

Experience
Proven organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines in a pressurised, target-driven environment while maintaining high quality standards. Demonstrated knowledge and interpretation of regulatory procedures surrounding the licensing of medicinal products in the UK and Europe.

Ability to deliver at pace and manage a quality service. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex scientific and regulatory information clearly and diplomatically to a range of stakeholders. Qualifications
Graduate with a Life Sciences degree or other relevant degree. Experience or extensive knowledge of information management related to regulatory submissions is essential.
