As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be central to shaping the collection, storage, processing, and analysis of large data sets. The primary focus is architecting serverless AWS solutions for data streams, developing, testing, implementing, and deploying them to our international clients. You will lead data integration with marketing technologies including our real-time Customer Data Platform (CDP).
This role requires a holistic view of deliverables and providing 3rd line support to clients to monitor, diagnose, and continuously improve our data products. You will work closely with software developers to enhance gaming platform integration, support testing and deployment, and develop automated monitoring, fault recovery, and diagnosis solutions.
You will be part of the BI and CRM Product Unit, delivering continuous support and enhancements to customers’ analytics and CRM capabilities, enabling data-driven decision-making and improved customer engagement.
Key responsibilities include leading the development of AWS data solutions, championing best practices and standardisation, contributing to the AWS technology roadmap, and delivering robust, resilient, and scalable solutions with continuous improvement to development methodologies and automation.
Experience
- Advanced AWS serverless design and development, including Lambda, Glue, MWAA, Step Functions
- Streaming technologies such as SQS, Kinesis, MSK
- NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
- SQL data stores including AWS Athena and Aurora
- Storage solutions primarily using S3
- API development and integration
- System monitoring with CloudWatch
- Roles and policies management with IAM
- Machine Learning and AI experience with SageMaker and Bedrock
- Strong Python skills including libraries such as Pandas
- Experience developing high-volume, scalable data integrations using files, SQL, queues, and APIs
- Integration experience with ERP, eCommerce, and CRM systems using SQL, JSON, XML, and CSV
- Performance tuning and monitoring at application and data platform level
- Highly developed data modelling and SQL skills

Qualifications
Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent experience in data engineering, cloud computing, or related fields are preferred but not mandatory. A strong track record of delivering AWS-based data solutions and integrations is essential.
