About the Role
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Senior Delivery Consultant (DevOps) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You will be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
As a Senior Delivery Consultant, you will possess a deep understanding of AWS products and services and be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer's needs. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions.
You will lead the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project. This is a customer-facing role requiring travel to UK client locations, delivering professional services and supporting enterprise cloud adoption initiatives.
The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts helping customers realize their desired business outcomes using the AWS Cloud. We work closely with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and provide focused guidance through global specialty practices covering various solutions, technologies, and industries.
Experience
- Proven experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture
- Consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions
- Software development experience with object-oriented programming languages
- Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), systems, networks, and operating systems
- Managing complex, large-scale projects with external or internal customers
About You
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work closely with customers to identify opportunities and deliver solutions
- Expertise in enterprise security programs and developing security models in the AWS cloud, including identity and access management, logging and monitoring, infrastructure security, data protection, and incident response
- Comfortable working autonomously and advising customers on implementing solutions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, AWS service teams, and engineering groups
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites (3-4 days per week)
- UK Nationality and ability to obtain UK Government Security Clearance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience
- Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies is preferred
- Strong communication skills and experience presenting workshops and delivering technical engagements
- Commitment to continuous learning and sharing knowledge to develop practice and tools that benefit customers and colleagues
