About the Role
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Senior Delivery Consultant to join our AWS team. In this role, you will work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that align with their technical requirements and business objectives. You will be a key driver of customer success throughout their cloud journey, providing expert technical guidance and best practices across the project lifecycle. With deep knowledge of AWS products and services, you will architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer’s needs. Your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, assessing current infrastructure, and proposing effective migration strategies to AWS. As a trusted advisor, you will provide insights on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions. You will lead the implementation process, ensuring best practice adherence, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts dedicated to helping customers achieve their desired business outcomes using the AWS Cloud. We collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team offers a range of services to support enterprise cloud adoption and delivers focused guidance through global specialty practices covering diverse solutions, technologies, and industries.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end migration engagements including discovery, assessment, wave planning, execution, and post-migration validation for on-premises VM and physical server workloads to AWS
- Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer requirements
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
- Act as a trusted advisor on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Manage project risks, lead escalations, and identify follow-on sales opportunities
- Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Experience
- Experience in cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), system, network, and operating systems
- Proven technical specialist in design and architecture
- Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on-premise technologies such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP
- Experience managing complex, large-scale customer-facing projects
- Experience leading and managing migration and transformation programs
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences in pre-sales environments

Qualifications
- Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
- Experience in consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions
- AWS Associate level certification preferred
- Familiarity with application discovery and dependency mapping
- Experience with migration tooling such as Application Migration Service, Database Migration Service, and Migration Hub
- Understanding of legacy system analysis and decommissioning
