About the Role
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Senior Delivery Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You will be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle. As a Delivery Consultant, you will architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer’s needs, collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions. You will lead the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts helping customers realize their desired business outcomes using the AWS Cloud. We work alongside customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and provide focused guidance through global specialty practices covering a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

Experience
- Proven experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture
- Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), system, network, and operating systems
- Experience managing complex, large-scale customer-facing projects
- Hands-on experience implementing AWS services in distributed computing environments
- Expertise in migration strategy development and planning using the 6R framework
- Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure Assessment (CIA) methodology
- Experience with mainframe migration and modernization techniques
- Skilled in application discovery and dependency mapping
- Familiarity with migration tooling such as Application Migration Service, Database Migration Service, and Migration Hub
- Experience in cutover planning and execution

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Willingness to share knowledge through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts
- UK national able to obtain and maintain UK Government Security Clearance

Qualifications
- Preferred experience with configuration management tools such as CloudFormation, Chef, and Puppet
- Experience in large-scale migrations including data centre to data centre or data centre to cloud infrastructure
- Knowledge of legacy system analysis and decommissioning
- Skilled in risk mitigation and rollback strategies
