About the Role
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Senior Delivery Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You will be a key player in driving customer success throughout their cloud journey by providing technical expertise and best practices across the project lifecycle.

As a Delivery Consultant, you will possess a deep understanding of AWS products and services, architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer’s needs. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions.

You will lead the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts helping customers realize their desired business outcomes using the AWS Cloud. We work closely with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and deliver focused guidance through global specialty practices covering various solutions, technologies, and industries.

Experience
- Proven experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture
- Expertise in cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), system, network, and operating systems
- Experience managing complex, large-scale customer-facing projects
- Knowledge of application modernisation patterns and strategies
- Proficiency with containerisation technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and EKS
- Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures
- Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures
- Skills in API design and management
- Experience with application refactoring and re-platforming techniques
- Cloud-native development practices

- Experience leading large-scale migrations, including data centre to data centre or data centre to cloud
- Skills in legacy application assessment and decomposition
- Knowledge of database modernisation techniques
