About the Role
The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest funder for the UK’s heritage, dedicated to ensuring heritage is valued, cared for, and sustained for everyone, now and in the future. We believe in the power of heritage to ignite imagination, offer joy and inspiration, and build pride in place and connection to the past. Our mission is to support and champion the UK’s heritage through delivering our new strategy Heritage 2033, ensuring National Lottery funding makes a decisive difference for people, places, and communities.
We are recruiting a Senior Developer to build and iteratively improve user-centered digital services for the Heritage Fund. This includes front-end services on our website and back-end private web-based admin interfaces. You will collaborate closely with another Senior Developer and other developers, making key decisions on languages, frameworks, hosting services, and deployment approaches.
Your first project will be the continued implementation of the Heritage Fund’s grant management system, a critical system central to the Fund’s work. This system integrates Salesforce with other web technologies, and your team will have direct control over technology, design choices, and implementation.
Our team structure and working practices follow the Government Digital Service’s service design manual, with sprint-based, agile methodologies.
If you are passionate about making heritage inclusive and accessible for everyone, now and for future generations, we encourage you to apply.
Applications close on 14 October 2025. Interviews are expected on 27 October 2025.
