About the Role
Big Potato’s purpose is to Light Up the Moments We Share Together. Our games are easy-to-learn, laughter-first games played by millions worldwide. Despite being better connected than ever, quality time together is increasingly rare. Our games bring people together in a way only a good game can. We have an ambitious, creative, and committed team focused on making brilliant games and shaking up the category, while caring deeply about our People, Customers, Consumers, and the Planet. We are B-Corp Certified and consistently achieve high scores in our employee NPS surveys. As one of the UK’s fastest-growing games companies scaling globally, we are recruiting for our Ecommerce team.
You will own the day-to-day trading of our Amazon, TikTok, and Shopify accounts, focusing strongly on forecasting, pricing, and margin. Leading a team of two Ecommerce Managers, you will work closely with Performance Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Brand Marketing to align ecommerce priorities across the business.
Team Leadership & Trading
Manage and develop two Ecommerce Managers, setting clear priorities and helping them evolve from reactive account management to proactive commercial ownership. Lead the weekly ecommerce trading rhythm, ensuring actions are completed. Act as the day-to-day escalation point for the team to prevent routine issues from escalating to the Ecommerce Director. Continuously improve team workflows, including leveraging AI and automation where beneficial.
Commercial Performance
Own delivery against ecommerce revenue and profit targets. Monitor marketplace and channel performance closely to identify opportunities and risks early. Drive action on key trading metrics including revenue, traffic, conversion, BSR/rank, availability, pricing, profitability, and promotions. Support forecasting and help shape pricing, margin, and promotional strategy alongside the Ecommerce Director.
Amazon, Walmart.com & Target.com
Oversee commercial and operational performance across Amazon markets (US, UK, Germany, Canada, and beyond). Maintain marketplace fundamentals such as availability, pricing, content, promotions, and catalogue health. Coordinate major trading events like Prime Day, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, and Q4. Support growth on Walmart.com and Target.com, collaborating with the US Retail team on promotional and discount planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Performance Marketing, Retail/Sales, Operations/Supply Chain, International Sales, Creative, and Finance teams to ensure ecommerce priorities are coordinated across the business.
Experience
- Solid experience in Amazon ecommerce, typically 6+ years, with a focus on achievements over tenure
- Proven experience managing and developing people
- Track record of owning significant revenue targets
- Strong commercial and analytical skills with a good understanding of ecommerce KPIs
About You
- Confident in prioritising, making independent decisions, and constructively challenging others
- Proactive, organised, and commercially curious approach
- Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to enhance productivity
Qualifications
- Nice to have but not essential: experience with Shopify, TikTok Shop, Walmart or Target
- Experience expanding into new international marketplaces
- Advanced Excel/Sheets or BI tool experience
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience
