About the Role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced event manager to lead the strategy and end-to-end execution of AWS flagship events across EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). This includes managing the large-scale AWS Summit program, where customers engage through keynotes, hands-on technical sessions, and interactive learning opportunities covering topics from cloud migration to AI. The role demands strong expertise in large-scale external events and the ability to apply this knowledge across event disciplines such as operations, platforms, or specialized audience programs. You will have considerable autonomy in both event program planning and onsite execution, driving innovation and delivering exceptional event experiences.

Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive event program strategies aligned with business objectives, owning end-to-end planning and delivery of major event programs, managing large budgets, and creating detailed project timelines with clear milestones. You will lead onsite execution of live events, manage complex high-visibility programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, provide strategic counsel, and partner with regional teams while upholding global standards.

The team is composed of experienced event marketers across EMEA who are passionate about delivering impactful and memorable event experiences that wow customers.

Experience
- 8+ years in event marketing or related fields
- Proven track record managing large, complex in-person events

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Experience managing events with 5,000+ in-person attendees
