About the Role
Amazon Freight Europe is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Commercial Senior Finance Analyst to join our Finance Strategy & Business Partnering team as we scale our external freight business. Amazon Freight is in an exciting growth phase, delivering full truckload and palletised freight across the UK and EU using Amazon's proprietary network. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the strategic finance partner to our Sales, Operations, and Product teams—owning long-term planning, driving profitability, and accelerating customer growth. Your insights will directly shape senior leadership decisions as we build a sustainable, rapidly scaling business.

The ideal candidate combines commercial acumen with operational curiosity—someone who can quickly master our end-to-end business model and confidently challenge senior leaders with data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders to drive tactical and strategic decisions across the business
- Build strong relationships with leaders in Operations and Sales, becoming their trusted finance partner
- Demonstrate backbone by constructively challenging senior leaders and ensuring prioritization of long-term value creation over short-term gains
- Deliver actionable insights on operations, market segments, products, and pricing by uncovering root causes through rigorous analysis

Experience
- Delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives or projects
- Working in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Using large-scale data mining and reporting tools such as SQL, MS Power Query, Python, or advanced Excel functions (macros, index, conditional lists, arrays, pivots, lookups)
- Building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving

About You
- Commercially minded with strong analytical skills and operational curiosity
- Able to quickly understand complex business models and confidently challenge senior leaders with data-driven insights
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic organization
- Skilled at making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Preferred fields of study include Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or related disciplines
- Experience identifying and resolving complex issues is advantageous
