This role combines strong technical expertise in AI and LLM tooling with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to deploy AI tools across Portfolio Management and Analytics, drive adoption, and translate user feedback into the roadmap for the PM AI platform.

The role includes operational responsibility for supporting Lane Assist and POET (PIMCO's portfolio optimization tools) during European business hours. You will embed directly with Portfolio Management and Analytics teams, configure and deploy AI tooling, deliver training and demos, and gather structured feedback to influence the PM AI platform roadmap.

As the senior AI presence in the London office, you will be the first line of support for Lane Assist and POET during European hours, working closely with US-based engineering teams to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution.

Experience
- 8+ years in software engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or related roles
- 2+ years hands-on experience with LLMs, AI tooling, or ML systems
- Strong Python skills with ability to read, debug, and prototype production-quality code
- Proven experience deploying technology directly with end users in forward-deployed or customer-facing roles
- Excellent communication skills, able to teach technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience gathering and synthesizing requirements from multiple stakeholders and influencing product or platform roadmaps
- Familiarity with LLM ecosystems (prompting, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, fine-tuning, evaluation) and major AI platforms/APIs
- Experience in financial services, asset management, or portfolio analytics is a strong plus
- Good-to-have: production support or SRE experience, SQL/Snowflake, data pipelines, or web applications
