About the Role
We are hiring multiple Senior Full Stack Developers (Java / TypeScript) to join a growing Software Engineering practice supporting a major modernisation and AI-enabled transformation programme. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will help design and deliver modern software solutions in complex environments. You will work on a greenfield build within a brownfield ecosystem, introducing new architecture, tooling, and engineering standards to enable long-term scalability and resilience. Reporting to a Principal Software Engineer, you will contribute both to day-to-day delivery and the continued growth of Appvia’s software engineering capability and technical direction. The role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders and influencing technical decisions to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

Experience
- Strong experience with TypeScript and modern frontend development
- Strong backend experience with Java (Spring Boot)
- Solid grounding in Domain Driven Design (DDD)
- Experience working with microservices architectures
- Full-stack capability across UI, API, and data layers
- Experience working in cloud-native environments (ideally AWS)
- Interest or experience in AI-assisted development to improve productivity and quality
- Confidence working directly with stakeholders and guiding technical decisions

About You
You are a strong full-stack engineer with a consulting mindset, comfortable working in complex environments and influencing how software is designed and delivered. You are proactive in improving development workflows, testing approaches, and engineering standards. You enjoy collaborating with platform and test engineers to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions and are keen to introduce and embed modern tooling and AI-assisted development practices. You act as a senior consultant within delivery teams, supporting scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software development.

Qualifications
Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC) is required:
- British Passport or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
- Resided in the UK for the last 5 years
- No criminal record or financial irregularities
