We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Shop Experience team within the Product Development tribe. You will play a key role in shaping seamless, trustworthy, and high-performing shopping experiences for millions of users worldwide. Working as part of a cross-functional product squad alongside Product, Design, Analytics, and QA, you will build and evolve customer-facing features across the full stack.

Your contributions will extend beyond technical execution to influencing architecture, engineering practices, experimentation, and operational excellence.

The Role: Product, Engineering & Impact
We believe the best product experiences come from collaborative teams with strong technical foundations and deep user understanding. Your focus will include:
- Full-stack Development: Designing, building, and evolving scalable web applications and backend services using React, TypeScript, and Python (Django). You will contribute across the full development lifecycle from ideation to deployment and production monitoring.
- Product Collaboration: Working closely with Product Managers, Designers, Analysts, and engineers to create solutions balancing user experience, technical quality, and business impact. We rely heavily on data-driven experimentation to validate ideas and guide decisions.
- Technical Excellence: Maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, observability, and system reliability. You will engage in architectural discussions, improve developer experience, and proactively address technical debt.
- Team Contribution: Mentoring and supporting engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and collaborative problem-solving. We value curiosity, humility, and continuous improvement in both product and engineering practices.

Within your first 3 months, you will:
- Deliver production-ready frontend and backend services, including tests, documentation, monitoring, and deployment workflows.
- Build strong working relationships across Product, Design, QA, Analytics, and Engineering teams, actively participating in team ceremonies and technical discussions.
- Improve system stability, observability, and maintainability through enhanced monitoring, resilient code, and thoughtful testing.
- Gain confidence working across our platform and infrastructure while contributing ideas to improve engineering standards, tooling, and team processes.

Testing: Unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using React Testing Library, Cypress, and Playwright

Experience
- Strong full-stack engineering experience building and maintaining high-performance web applications across frontend and backend systems, ideally in consumer-facing or e-commerce environments. This role is backend-leaning.
- Proficient in React, TypeScript, modern web fundamentals, and frontend testing practices. Experience with Storybook and scalable component architectures is highly valued.
- Comfortable designing and implementing backend services and APIs using Python frameworks such as Django.
- Deep care for writing readable, maintainable, and well-tested code. Skilled in refactoring existing systems to improve long-term sustainability rather than working around technical shortcomings.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, able to explain technical ideas, contribute to solution design, and work constructively with teammates and stakeholders.
- Pragmatic and product-minded with a delivery focus, comfortable working in an experimentation-driven environment where data guides decisions and priorities.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in full-stack development using React, TypeScript, and Python (Django).
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and modern DevOps practices is a plus.
- Experience with high-traffic consumer or marketplace platforms is advantageous.
- Knowledge of integration and end-to-end testing using Cypress or Playwright is beneficial.
- Understanding of AWS-based distributed systems and observability tooling is a bonus.
