About the Role
Laravel is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our all-remote Laravel Cloud infrastructure team, focused on Private Cloud. You will work on our ambitious Laravel Cloud platform, a fully managed infrastructure optimized for Laravel and PHP, designed for developers and teams to ship their next big idea with ease. This role requires a pragmatic team player who values best practices but knows when custom solutions are needed. You will collaborate closely with a world-class team, impacting the developer experience of hundreds of thousands of users worldwide. Your work will involve researching and implementing the best infrastructure solutions, pair programming, and quick team huddles to solve complex problems together. While working extensively with cloud providers such as AWS, you will also build custom tooling and integrations. Documentation is a key part of our culture, ensuring clarity for both internal teams and users. Experience
- 5+ years in similar roles, preferably working with large scale production systems.
- Mastery of AWS and potentially other cloud providers.
- Experience with large AWS environments, multi-account setups, and multi-region deployments.
- Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and container orchestration.
- Experience managing large clusters with customer data.
- Experience building and maintaining Go-based K8s operators using Kubebuilder and Operator SDK is preferred.
- Strong expertise in logging, monitoring, alerting tooling, and processes.
- Comfortable using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in a team environment, enforcing sanity checks and policies.
- Knowledge of network protocols, load balancing, caching, and DNS management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, all-remote environment.
