About the Role
As a Senior Internal Communications & Engagement Officer, you will be at the heart of how we keep colleagues and members informed, connected and engaged across the organisation. This varied, fast-paced role involves turning everyday updates into content people want to read and making a real impact. You will manage regular publications, create digital content, and support high-profile colleague events, playing a key role in shaping internal communications.
You will produce engaging communications across multiple channels including intranet news, electronic digests, digital screens, and repurposed stories, while measuring success to continuously improve engagement. The role requires managing multiple deadlines, building strong stakeholder relationships, and delivering high-quality, tailored content.
We seek someone who takes ownership, challenges and improves existing processes, and confidently balances competing priorities while maintaining exceptionally high standards. Join the leading Armed Forces charity and contribute to making a difference in the lives of those who have served to keep us safe and protect our way of life.
Employee benefits include 28 days paid holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing with service, optional annual leave purchase scheme, enhanced paid maternity, paternity and adoption leave, a generous pension scheme with employer contributions from 6% to 14%, flexible working options, Employee Assistance Programme, learning and development courses, volunteering opportunities, travel loans, Cycle to Work scheme, and more.
Our recruitment process is personalised and carried out without AI, based on evidence provided in your application against the essential and desirable criteria. We are committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applications from all backgrounds and offering interview schemes for candidates with Armed Forces connections and/or disabilities, provided essential criteria are met.
Interview dates: Stage one on 24th July via Teams, Stage two on 29th July in person at Haig House, London Bridge.
Applications are encouraged early as the vacancy may close once sufficient strong applications are received.
