About the Role
At Flowdesk, we are building the infrastructure powering the next era of global finance. As a full-service digital asset trading and technology firm, we provide liquidity solutions, OTC trading, and market infrastructure that connect digital assets to global markets with institutional-grade precision, transparency, and scale. Founded in 2020, we have grown into a global team supporting institutions, exchanges, and token issuers worldwide as the financial system evolves toward tokenized markets.
You'll be joining a company operating at the intersection of finance, technology, and crypto - solving complex market problems, building critical infrastructure, and helping shape how digital assets move globally. We move fast, think long term, and work with a strong ownership mindset across engineering, trading, product, operations, and business teams.
We are a cloud-native crypto market-making firm operating across regulated jurisdictions. Our Secure Engineering team designs, builds, and owns the platforms and configuration that the wider IT estate runs on, security-first. It is a small team: what you build, the rest of IT operates.
As a Senior IT Engineer, you will work as part of the secure engineering team, configuring and maintaining IT systems across the organisation - identity, endpoint, and SaaS platforms - while also owning vendor and contract management for the tools the team relies on. This role suits someone who can run projects end to end with minimal input from senior management, while keeping IT Operations and the rest of the team in the loop.
Key responsibilities include:
- Configure and maintain IT systems across the organisation, working within the team's core platforms (Okta, Jamf, Google Workspace, Cloudflare)
- Source and evaluate new tooling: run vendor assessments, manage procurement, and bring in what the business needs
- Own the lifecycle of existing vendor contracts: renewal dates, terms, and costs kept current, and renegotiation opportunities flagged proactively
- Act as the main point of contact for vendor account and contract matters
- Collaborate with IT Operations to translate operational needs into system configuration and tooling decisions
- Run projects autonomously, keeping senior management informed and involved when needed
- Participate in an IT on-call rota and provide support to IT Operations as needed
Experience
- 7+ years' experience in IT engineering or a similar technical role, ideally in SaaS-heavy, regulated environments
- Working knowledge of modern IT stacks in regulated environments, particularly SaaS, identity, and endpoint platforms
- Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts including evaluation, procurement, renewal, and negotiation
- Comfortable working autonomously and driving projects with minimal senior management input while collaborating effectively with the wider team
- Experience in financial services or crypto/digital assets is preferred
- Familiarity with Okta, Jamf, Google Workspace, or Cloudflare Zero Trust is advantageous
- Experience with ITSM/change tooling (e.g. JSM) is a plus
About you
- Curious and autonomous with a strong ownership mindset
- Highly motivated and results-driven
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks successfully in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Professional proficiency in English
Qualifications
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are beneficial but not mandatory; demonstrated experience and ownership are key.
