About the Role
The Senior Longevity Actuary role at Barnett Waddingham focuses on supporting clients primarily with longevity and life insurance risk work. You will deliver projects across a diverse range of areas including longevity risk management, pricing and structuring of risk transfer solutions, experience analysis, assumption setting, and broader actuarial and strategic support for insurers and reinsurers. A key part of the role is building strong client relationships and supporting the winning of new engagements while delivering high quality work across multiple assignments.

Typical responsibilities include providing high quality longevity and demographic support to insurance and reinsurance clients in the UK and globally, either on a consulting basis or through secondment, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will support the development of longevity propositions and identify further consultancy opportunities with new and existing clients. Collaboration across the business, particularly with risk transfer teams and longevity specialists, is essential to deliver cross-practice projects. Additionally, you will promote insurance offerings through speaking engagements and contributing to written materials such as articles.

Barnett Waddingham is part of Howden, a global insurance group with a people-first culture and employee ownership at its heart. The company values entrepreneurial spirit, inclusivity, and a collaborative international team of 23,000 employees across 56 countries. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a strong culture focused on career progression, work/life balance, and sustainability.
