We are looking for a strategic, commercially minded events leader to head up our Seller Events function. This pivotal role is responsible for designing and delivering a best-in-class events programme that deepens our connection with sellers across the UK and drives forward our marketplace strategy. You will lead a team of two direct reports and seasonal event staff, as well as working with our agency team, managing the full events calendar from concept through to execution with a sharp eye on cost efficiency, operational excellence, and continuous innovation.
Key responsibilities include leading and developing the Seller Events team, owning the UK seller events strategy to ensure every event connects meaningfully to broader marketplace goals, and thinking innovatively about how events can be used as a strategic tool to influence seller behaviour, drive adoption, and build community. You will actively seek cost efficiencies, optimise resources, run agency partners and external suppliers effectively, build strong relationships with sellers, create new event formats and playbooks, embed a culture of learning and iteration using data and feedback, and collaborate cross-functionally to amplify wider company priorities.
Experience
Proven experience leading events programmes at scale, ideally within a marketplace, platform, or eCommerce environment. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving cost efficiencies. Experience working with agencies and external partners to deliver operationally excellent events.
About you
A strategic thinker who understands how events connect to commercial outcomes. A curious, creative mindset who challenges existing formats and brings fresh thinking to how events are structured and delivered. Strong people leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams. Deep understanding of how marketplaces work and what matters to sellers. Highly organised and able to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
