About the Role
We are recruiting a 12-month fixed term post (maternity cover) within the Advanced Markets team, focusing specifically on the USA and Canada. This role involves developing and implementing market strategies and country plans to drive trade and investment outcomes. You will engage and collaborate with UK and international stakeholders, including government bodies and financial services companies, to identify and develop commercial opportunities. The role includes planning and delivering inward and outward trade missions internationally, ensuring strategic outcomes and strong stakeholder relationships. You will provide market and sector expertise, policy advice, and briefings for senior members and officers, while promoting the reputation and performance of the UK's financial and professional services sector in key international markets. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to influence trade strategies, facilitate economic growth, and make a significant impact on global trade and investment dynamics.

Experience
Experience in government, consultancy, international financial professional services business, or a sector body is desirable. A strong understanding and interest in international trade and investment and/or Financial Professional Services (FPS) is essential.
