About the Role
As a Modernization & Migration Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS, you will build strong technical relationships with customers of all sizes and develop solutions to accelerate their cloud modernization and migration journey. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will ensure customers maximize the benefits of the cloud at every stage of their transformation. You will engage with senior customer leaders and technical stakeholders to help them achieve increased agility and significant business value by leading their modernization and migration efforts to AWS.

You will manage the technical relationship between AWS and customers, providing recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency to accelerate large-scale modernization and migration projects. Internally, you will represent customer needs to influence AWS feature roadmaps. Externally, you will work closely with senior enterprise clients to lead migration assessment readiness and strategy.

This role offers the opportunity to link technology to tangible solutions by defining cloud-native reference architectures for various use cases. You will contribute to best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures such as white papers, code samples, and blog posts. Additionally, you will evangelize and educate about AWS technology through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, and conferences.

Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent experience
- Experience in IT development, implementation, or consulting within software or Internet industries
- Expertise in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics
- Experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders

Qualifications
- Preferred experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking
- Cloud technology certifications such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering are advantageous
