Salary

About the Role
If you’re looking to find a workplace with strong values of fairness and social justice, the Senior Organiser role may be a good fit for you. As the Senior Organiser, you will lead major organising drives and campaigns, acting in a leadership role with respect to the RCN organising programme and Activism Strategy. You will collaborate with the Head of Organising and key stakeholders to design and implement organising drives in both recognised and greenfield workplaces. Additionally, you will manage a small team of UK-wide Organisers and work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver Activism Academy objectives. This role is ideal for an experienced Organiser or Campaigner familiar with strategically planning and delivering an organising drive. You will support the nursing profession to realise their power through an organisational-wide upskilling of organising theory and practice. This is a rare opportunity to shape an Organising Strategy during a culture shift.
Experience
At least five years of Organising experience with first-hand knowledge of running a campaign from beginning to end. Your experience should demonstrate your ability to write a campaign plan, build a team, communicate clearly, and deliver against objectives.
About you
You should be someone who leads by example, working directly with members in workplaces. Whether you’re a trade union organiser or community organiser, you must understand strategy and work hard to raise the voice of nursing while supporting an internal cultural shift into the Organising Approach.
Qualifications
Management experience is ideal, but if your skillset and organising experience demonstrate your ability to manage a small team, this role may be your next step forward.
