About the Role
Bloom & Wild is a leading direct-to-consumer flower and gifting business, committed to caring wildly for people and the planet. As a certified B Corp™, we focus on making long-term positive change for our community and the world. Founded in 2013, we have grown to become Europe’s largest direct-to-consumer flower business, expanding our gifting range beyond flowers to include categories such as cakes, candles, and cocktails. We are building Europe’s #1 direct-to-consumer gifting destination.

Within our Brand & Creative team, you will join a vibrant group of 15 creative thinkers across brand, creative, and communications disciplines. We are responsible for global brand strategy and creative output, collaborating closely with teams across markets to build uplifting and innovative brand experiences.

As Senior Own Brand Packaging & Product Designer, reporting to the Lead Physical Product Designer, you will be central to shaping our own-brand gifting proposition. You will design products and packaging that define how Bloom & Wild shows up as a gifting brand beyond flowers. This role involves translating product briefs into beautifully considered, production-ready designs that focus on the recipient experience.

You will work closely with the range and product teams from brief through to production, originating design routes for new own-brand products across Fresh Baked, Food & Drink, Home & Pamper, and seasonal formats. You will be confident in creating from a blank page and working fluidly within an emerging design system, balancing precision with creative flair.

Key responsibilities include:
- Developing design routes for new own-brand products from brief to sign-off across various packaging formats including boxes, sleeves, tubes, wraps, tins, and labels
- Supporting the Lead Physical Product Designer in creating NPD visualisations and proposals
- Collaborating with creative and range teams to ensure design decisions are informed by format constraints, print processes, and material specifications
- Contributing to and working within the own-brand design system, understanding how colour, illustration, typography, and material choices interact
- Art directing illustration commissions within seasonal projects, briefing external illustrators and integrating work confidently
- Producing accurate, well-structured design files ready for artworking and production
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously with clear ownership of timelines and priorities
- Supporting the development and codification of the own-brand design system as the range scales

Requirements

Experience
- Strong packaging and product design experience with a thorough understanding of print and production processes
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) with the ability to set up production-ready artwork
- Knowledge of packaging die lines, cutter guides, and artwork preparation for print
- Familiarity with print processes and finishes such as litho, flexo, digital, foil blocking, embossing/debossing, and varnishes
- Experience working with a range of materials including paper stocks, cardboards, tins, and wrappers
- Ability to create accurate mock-ups and prototypes, both physical and digital
- Understanding of supplier and manufacturer workflows including pre-press requirements
- Awareness of sustainable packaging principles including recyclability and material reduction

About you
- Exceptional graphic sensibility with a strong eye for colour, composition, and visual hierarchy
- Creative confidence to originate design routes from a blank page and work fluently within existing systems
- Commercial awareness, considering both recipient and giver perspectives and the relationship between design categories and pricing
- Collaborative mindset, comfortable working closely with creative, range, and procurement teams
- Ability to work with pace and precision under deadline pressure, maintaining attention to detail and proactive communication
- Curious and up-to-date with trends in packaging, gifting, and premium food and lifestyle sectors
- Proactive use of AI and emerging design tools to accelerate ideation and enhance creative output

Qualifications
- While specific qualifications are not mandatory, advanced proficiency in design software and relevant packaging design experience are essential
- Experience with 3D modelling (e.g. Rhino) and rendering (e.g. Keyshot) is a plus
- Experience working with glass, ceramics, and textiles is desirable but not required
- We value diverse strengths and experiences and encourage applicants passionate about thoughtful design and our values to apply
